This Chinese Mandarin Speech Recognition database was collected in China and contains the voices of 120 different native speakers who were demographic balanced according to age distribution (18–30,31–50,51-55), Gender (57males, 63 females) from four special regions of Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangdong. It include 10,758 audio files, 6.12 hours per channel with a total of 18.36 hours of recording.
A set of 2,250 person names were carefully designed for both training and testing of speech recognizers. Each speaker uttered 30 person names in a quiet office room through three professional microphones.
